Annual Holiday Celebration Record Turnout For Santa The event, which is organized by the SPBPA with cooperation from the Recreation, Public Works, Police and Fire Departments and TV34, was once again a huge success. Nearly 250 children visited with Santa this year. We have had requests from businesses and residents who would like to donate a bench and we will be ordering more this spring. The cost of a bench is $500. If you are interested please call Jo Ford at (908) 322-6700 ext. 1-306 to be put on the list. Locations have not yet been chosen but will be at the discretion of the Task Force/Township Council. The Task Force will request that the Town Council quickly address moving ahead with a plan to have the sidewalks throughout the downtown, that do not have red brick pavers, repaved with pavers at a reduced cost to the property owner. A meeting of property owners should be scheduled by the Township ASAP to discuss the plan. The Task Force will also request that The Council take immediate action to further the re-zoning and sale of the Hedge Property in the early part of 2002. Board Member Nominations Nomination forms have been mailed to all paid members and any member interested in serving on the board or nominating someone to serve should complete and return their form ASAP. The Board meets in January to plan the year and the first membership meeting will be February 21st. Elections will be held at this meeting. SPBPA Member Survey We have put together a survey and would appreciate it if you could take a few moments to fill it out and return it to us. Thank You. Please Renew Your Dues Now! or Join If You Are Not Yet A Member if you haven´t already joined the SPBPA please do so today. Annual Dues are only $40, about 10 cents a day. Send your check made payable to the SPBPA to PO Box 862 Scotch Plains NJ 07076. Include your business name, your name, address, phone, fax, e-mail and Web address.
